Inside smollVet
Appointments
When a vet logs into Smoll Vet, they can see their appointments from the footer navigation.
Appointments are organised into:
Today
Tomorrow
This Week
This gives the vet a quick view of what’s coming up without having to navigate through the full clinic system.
Cases
The Cases tab shows the clinic’s active cases, fetched directly from Smoll OS.
Each case gives the vet access to the relevant information needed to understand and manage the case, including:
Case status
Diagnosis
Case information
Scribe notes
Owner updates and shared materials
Cases can be active or inactive, making it easy for the vet to understand what still requires attention.
Scribe
Scribe turns the vet–pet parent conversation into case notes.
From inside a case, the vet can press Scribe to start recording a consultation.
Before recording, the vet takes consent from the pet parent. Once consent is given, Smoll's AI listens to the conversation and transcribes the relevant information into text.
The resulting transcript is stored inside the case as Scribe Notes in Smoll OS.
Scribe Notes can be deleted, but they cannot be edited.
This gives the vet a simple way to capture the important details of a consultation without having to stop and manually document everything while speaking with the pet parent.
Story for Owner
Story for Owner is where the vet can add content that helps the pet parent understand what is happening with their pet.
It sits inside the case, alongside Scribe, and gives the vet several ways to share updates.
Record Video
The vet can record a video directly from Smoll Vet.
The video is sent to the Case Tracker and becomes available to the pet owner once the appointment has been converted into a case.
This can be used to show the pet's condition, explain something visually, provide an update, or simply give the pet parent a better view of what is happening.
Upload
The vet can also upload additional materials to the case.
This can include:
Videos
Images
Documents
Other relevant case materials
Uploaded content can then be made available through the Case Tracker.
Write a Note
The vet can also write a text-only update directly from the case.
These notes are intended for observations, updates, or thoughts about what is happening with the pet.
When creating a note, the vet can choose whether it is:
Internal
The note stays within the clinic and is stored in the case in Smoll OS.
It is not shared with the pet owner.
Shared with Owner
The note is shared with the pet owner through the Case Tracker.
This allows the vet to communicate relevant updates without having to create a separate message or communication outside the case.
The distinction is simple:
Internal notes are for the clinic.
Shared notes are for the pet family.
smollVet + smollOS
smollVet is the vet's focused workspace, while smollOS remains the clinic's operational system.
The two work together:
smollOS → manages the clinic's data and cases.
smollVet → gives the vet a simple way to work with that information.
And when the vet creates owner-facing content—whether a video, uploaded material, or shared note—it can flow from the case into the Case Tracker, keeping the pet family informed without adding another communication workflow for the clinic.
