At-Home visits
The main section of Smoll Home is Visits.
Visits are organised by:
Today
Tomorrow
Next Week
This gives the vet a simple view of their upcoming home visits.
Each visit contains the key information needed to prepare and travel to the location.
Visit Overview
At a glance, the vet can see:
Pet name
Pet parent name
Pet parent phone number
Home address
Requested services
Other relevant visit information
The requested services are particularly important because they tell the vet what they need to bring with them.
For example:
Dog vaccination → bring the required vaccine.
Ultrasound → bring the ultrasound equipment.
The goal is simple: know what you're walking into before you leave the clinic.
At-Home in smollOS
Home visits are handled separately from the regular clinic calendar in Smoll OS.
They appear under the At Home section.
The clinic team can use this section to view the home visits and their details, but it is intentionally limited.
From Smoll OS, the clinic can:
View home visit information
Reschedule a visit
Cancel a visit
Print the visit information
Export the visit as a PDF
The actual execution of the visit happens through Smoll Home.
Starting a Visit
Before travelling to the location, the vet is encouraged to call the pet parent and confirm that they are available at home.
Each visit has two relevant actions.
Customer Not Reachable
If the vet cannot reach the pet parent, they can mark the visit as:
Customer Not Reachable
Start Visit
If the pet parent confirms they are available, the vet can proceed to the location and select:
Start Visit
This begins the active home visit.
During the Visit
Once a visit has started, Smoll Home becomes the vet's workspace for completing the requested services.
Requested Services
All services booked by the pet parent are displayed inside the active visit.
The vet can select each service and mark it as performed once completed.
This creates a clear checklist of what was requested and what has actually been delivered.
Add Extra Services
The vet can also add additional services during the visit.
For example, a pet parent may ask the vet to perform something that was not part of the original booking.
The vet can add the service directly from Smoll Home.
Once an additional service is added, Smoll automatically sends a payment link to the pet parent so they can pay for the additional service.
The vet does not need to handle the payment manually.
Visit Notes
The vet can add notes about what happened during the visit.
These are used to document observations, actions taken, or other relevant information from the home visit.
Photos, Videos & Documents
The vet can capture and attach additional information directly to the visit.
This includes:
Photos
Videos
PDFs
Other relevant documents
Everything is attached to the visit so the clinic has a complete record of what happened in the field.
Visit Summary
Once the visit is complete, the vet can send a Visit Summary to the pet parent.
This gives the pet family a clear record of what happened during the visit and any relevant information they need after the vet has left.
Completing the Visit
When the vet has finished, they select:
Visit Is Complete
Before closing the visit, Smoll checks the requested services.
If any of the original services have not been marked as performed, the system alerts the vet.
The vet can then review the outstanding services and decide whether to continue and complete the visit anyway.
This prevents services from being accidentally missed while still giving the vet control over how the visit is closed.
Profile
The Profile section is intentionally minimal.
It contains:
Vet name
Sign Out
That's it.
smollHome is designed to keep the vet focused on the visit—not on managing another complicated system.
